70% of our nation’s firefighters are volunteers, protecting and serving their communities during emergencies of all kinds. The National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) is devoted to giving our nation’s volunteer fire and EMS departments everything they need to support these heroes and raise awareness about their crucial role in keeping our communities safe. NVFC partner Jack Daniel's Tennessee Fire shares our commitment to the volunteer fire and emergency services. The Jack Daniel Distillery is home to its very own volunteer fire department, and is proud to salute and support volunteer firefighters nationwide. Together, we ask you to help us support those who serve. As the national voice of the volunteer fire, emergency medical, and rescue services, the NVFC provides critical resources, programs, education, and advocacy to help the volunteer emergency services thrive. We work to keep responders healthy and safe; provide training on topics important to the fire and emergency services; connect departments with potential volunteers; address critical issues including firefighter cancer, behavioral health, wildland firefighting, and volunteer retention; advocate for the volunteer on a national level and in standards-setting committees; and much more.
